NEW: Encryption and digital signature

Secure emails with Mailit 10, featuring powerful encryption and digital signatures that ensure privacy and authenticity. Supporting both S/MIME and PGP standards, Mailit 10 protects communications from unauthorized access and tampering. Additionally, it enables  receiving and reading of encrypted, digitally signed emails, keeping the inbox secure and trustworthy.

Enhanced: IMAP

Mailit 10 adds functions to create, delete, and rename IMAP folders. Additionally, the example files are now compatible with FileMaker® Server-side use and support of multiple IMAP/SMTP accounts.

Mailit includes additional advanced IMAP folder management functions—search folders by criteria like "from," "since," and "unread" for more professional email solutions.

Amazon SES (Simple Email Service) support for mass mail

In addition to SMTP, Mailit  lets you relay personalized emails via Amazon SES®. Processing happens ultra fast even for larger amounts of messages. Mailit also supports Amazon SES statistics. Learn more about Amonzon SES.

Feed email data to FileMaker® in the background

Mailit takes background processing to the next level. 

Mailit processes sending and receiving of emails in the background and also feeds received email data to FileMaker® in the background without the need to trigger a script. 

Same for picking up and sending outgoing email. Hence, the UI of FileMaker® remains responsive when the plug-in operates providing an improved end-user experience.

Platform features

To make sure you can use Mailit in your preferred FileMaker® environment we have added the following supported platforms:

Mailit  supports FileMaker® Server on Linux Ubuntu.

Mailit runs on the Docker® virtualisation platform.

HTML Composing

Mailit provides a new powerful HTML editors that loads via the FileMaker® Web Viewer.  This editor behaves like a real email application when composing messages. Pictures can be added in-line via drag & drop.

Enhanced: email custom apps

Mailit comes with a version of the Personal Mail email custom app demonstrating background email processing in FileMaker® Also other Mailit features are demonstrated such as FileMaker® Server-side use and multiple IMAP/SMTP accounts usage.

A custom app for the Amazon SES® (Simple Email Service) set of features is included as well.

HTML Viewing

Mailit improves the rending of incoming HTML emails. You can be sure that HTML emails will be rendered in FileMaker® Web Viewer just like intended by the author.

Professional HTML Authoring

Mailit provides a second editor - also loaded via FileMaker® Web Viewer - that lets you build professional email layouts based on templates e.g. for mass mailings. 

OAuth 2.0 & Latest Security

Mailit supports OAuth 2.0 and SSL, TLS 1.3 for SMTP authentication and secure connections.

OAuth 2.0 has been announced to become the mandatory security standard for email apps connecting to Gmail and Microsoft accounts. Switching to OAuth 2.0 now is highly recommended.
