NEW: Gmail REST API

Mailit 11 adds REST support for Gmail via the Gmail API — while keeping the familiar Mailit workflow. Connect using Emai_Connect with gmailRest and continue working with folders/labels, message loading, moving/deleting, and server-side processing.

Professional HTML editing

Mailit 11 adds REST support for Microsoft 365 mailboxes via Microsoft Graph. Connect using Emai_Connect with graphRest and use the same Mailit workflow for folders, message loading, moving/deleting — and sending via Graph where supported.

Email signing and encrypting

Encrypt and sign emails to reduce interception and spoofing. Mailit supports widely adopted standards like PGP and S/MIME to encrypt emails and attachments using the recipient’s public key—so only recipients with the matching private key can decrypt them. You can also digitally sign messages to prove authenticity and help recipients verify the sender and detect tampering.

ENHANCED: IMAP functions

Mailit supports advanced IMAP folder management and search — create, delete, rename folders, and search by criteria like from, since, and unread. Mailit 11 adds performance improvements for message download and processing (including server-side scripts) and optimized memory usage for better stability.

Background sending & receiving

Mailit supports threaded sending and receiving for background workflows. Keep your FileMaker® app responsive while sending and processing emails — including on FileMaker Server.

Best-in-class mailings with FileMaker® and Mailit.

Mailit lets you build professional email workflows directly inside your FileMaker® app — from composing and sending to receiving and processing replies.

Send rich HTML emails using built-in editors that integrate via FileMaker® Web Viewer. Create branded templates, personalize content, include attachments, and embed images for professional layouts.

Mailit also supports inbound email workflows: receive emails directly into FileMaker® and manage follow-ups, ticket replies, and mailbox processes inside your solution.

Run mailings and processing in the background (including FileMaker Server) to keep your app responsive.

Mailit supports secure SMTP connections, including servers that require modern TLS such as TLS 1.3.

New in Mailit 11: REST support for modern providers — Gmail REST API and Microsoft Graph API — while preserving the familiar Mailit workflow.

Mailit 11 also improves performance for message downloading and processing and optimizes memory usage for better stability with large mailboxes and server-side scripts.

As an alternative to SMTP, Mailit lets you relay personalized emails via Amazon SES (AWS SES) for high-volume sending.

More secure: OAuth 2.0, SSL, TLS 1.3

Mailit supports OAuth 2.0 and secure connections with modern TLS (including TLS 1.3 where required), plus advanced SMTP authentication and SSL. Setup guides for Google and Microsoft are included.

Direct support
Ready-to-use FileMaker® email apps can be integrated with FileMaker® projects or scripts and layouts can be imported selectively. Detailed documentation is available and Dacons support team is there to assist.

      Email features and functions

Discover powerful features and 172 functions of Mailit for IMAP, POP3, SMTP and AWS SES.

    • NEW: Microsoft Graph API

Mailit 11 adds REST support for Microsoft 365 mailboxes via the Microsoft Graph API. Connect using Emai_Connect with the new connection type graphRest, and continue using Mailit’s existing workflow.

Graph REST support includes: listing folders, selecting folders, loading messages, moving/deleting messages, and sending via Graph. Mailit works with folderId (Graph style) while keeping the familiar Mailit workflow. When migrating between protocols (IMAP ↔ REST), we recommend limiting downloads by date/time to avoid re-downloading older messages. Mailit’s session transcript covers REST requests; the plugin log file contains additional details.

    • NEW: Gmail REST API

Mailit 11 adds REST support for Gmail via the Gmail API while keeping the familiar Mailit workflow. Use the existing Emai_Connect function with the new connection type gmailRest—no separate REST-only function set required.

Supported Gmail REST operations include: listing labels/folders, selecting folders, loading messages, deleting/moving messages, adding/removing labels (including system labels like INBOX, SENT, TRASH, SPAM), and uploading messages to folders. Mailit keeps the familiar UID workflow; when migrating between protocols (IMAP ↔ REST), limit downloads by date/time to prevent re-downloading older messages.

    • ENHANCED: Latest Security

Mailit 11 supports widely adopted standards like PGP and S/MIME to encrypt emails and attachments and to digitally sign messages. Encryption helps protect confidentiality; digital signatures help recipients verify authenticity and detect tampering.

Mailit also supports OAuth 2.0, secure connections with modern TLS (including TLS 1.3 where required), and advanced SMTP authentication options—so Mailit works with modern mail providers and security policies.

    • ENHANCED: Advanced IMAP

Mailit supports advanced IMAP mailbox workflows, including IMAP folder search (e.g., by criteria like “from”, “since”, or “unread”). It also lets you create and manage remote IMAP folders and provides functionality to upload messages to remote IMAP folders.

Mailit 11 adds performance improvements for message downloading and processing, including server-side scripts, and optimized memory usage for better stability when working with large mailboxes and attachments.

    • ENHANCED: Send and Receive Email

Mailit  lets you send (SMTP) and receive (POP, IMAP) emails including attachments with FileMaker®.

Use all common email formats: Plain Text, or formatted FileMaker® rich text, HTML (converted from FileMaker rich text or from HTML template) with inline images. Email processing happens in the background providing an amazing user experience.

    • Personalized email campaigns

Create professional email campaigns directly in FileMaker with Mailit’s HTML editing features, including templates, layout tools and multi-column designs through the FileMaker® Web Viewer.

Send campaigns in the background or use FileMaker Server for server-side delivery, so your FileMaker app stays responsive while larger volumes of emails are processed.

For high-volume sending, Mailit can also relay personalized emails through Amazon SES instead of SMTP. Mailit supports fast processing, multiple delivery attempts and SES delivery statistics.

    • Layout Sending

Invoices and reports can be sent directly from within FileMaker® (WYSIWYG) as PDF, JPEG or PNG
